APPROVED FOR CALENDARING CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 52(FIN) am "An Act extending the termination date of the State Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Board." APPROVED FOR CALENDARING CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 44(TRA) "An Act designating the Joe Redington, Sr., Memorial Trail." APPROVED FOR CALENDARING PREVIOUS COMMITTEE ACTION HJR 6 - See Resources minutes dated 2/8/01. SB 52 - See Labor and Commerce minutes dated 2/08/01 and Finance minutes dated 2/12/01. HB 44 - See Transportation minutes dated 2/8/01. ACTION NARRATIVE TAPE 01-2, SIDE A Number 001 CHAIR DRUE PEARCE called the Senate Rules Committee meeting to order at 10:55 a.m. Present were Senators Phillips, Therriault, Ellis and Pearce. Senator Cowdery was excused for medical reasons. The first order of business to come before the committee was HJR 6. SENATOR PHILLIPS moved to calendar HJR 6-ROADLESS POLICY for floor action. He informed the committee that he plans to offer an amendment on the Senate floor that will replace the words "several million" on page 3, line 5, with "4 million," and delete the word "illegal" on page 3, line 25. He noted the $4 million figure came from Congressman Young's office. SENATOR ELLIS objected. The motion to calendar HJR 6 carried with Senators Phillips, Therriault and Pearce voting "yea," and Senator Ellis voting "nay." The next order of business to come before the committee was SB 52- TERMINATION OF STATE PHYS THERAPY BOARD. There being no discussion or questions, SENATOR THERRIAULT moved to calendar SB 52 with its accompanying zero fiscal note. Hearing no objection, CHAIR PEARCE announced SB 52 was approved for calendaring. The last order of business was HB 44. There being no discussion or questions, SENATOR PHILLIPS moved to calendar HB 44-JOE REDINGTON SR. MEMORIAL TRAIL. There being no objection, the motion carried. There being no further business to come before the committee, CHAIR PEARCE adjourned the meeting at 10:56 p.m.
